Hi Friends! If you are looking for some new prints for your walls, visit my new Fine Art Prints Etsy shop. I have local Kansas City images, nature, landscapes, etc. Most prints come in black and white or color. These images would look great matted and framed on your wall. Do you live in downtown Kansas City or in the Western Auto lofts? I have some fabulous pictures of downtown KC. Check them out today!

Last week, I got together with some friends for a cookie exchange. Who doesn't love friends, wine and dessert! Yum. I made some delicious carrot cake oatmeal cookies I found on the Betty Crocker website. So delicious. My husband also loved them, which means something, because he's not much of a dessert eater. Though, I love baking so there's always desserts around.

I made a super yummy carrot cake with cream cheese buttercream frosting for Thanksgiving! My family loved it, especially my Aunt & Uncle who had never seen my cake decorating skills before. My Aunt had to get a picture of it and I sent most of the cake home with them on their long 10 hr drive back to Indianapolis.

At first I couldn't decide what decorations to add to the cake, so I kept it simple...a few leaves and acorns all made out of fondant. Check out my beautiful Thanksgiving Cake!

Our 1 Year Wedding Anniversary was Oct. 17, 2010! Hard to believe one year came and went so quickly! I loved planning our wedding and getting married. It was so much fun and I was able to use all of my creative abilities.  Our first year of marriage was good and not too exciting, which was sort of nice.

We decided to keep this year's anniversary simple. We were very tired. So it consisted of going to mass at the church we got married at, Holy Rosary, in Kansas City, MO. It was nice to spend the morning together. That evening we made dinner together... spaghetti and garlic bread..fancy I know. We also had some champagne and tasted our top tier cake from 1 year ago. Surprisingly, the cake tasted decent but it just grosses me out eating something that is a year old! Erik also gave me some pretty roses. Here are a few pictures from our wedding anniversary!
